Back to stone HD

A long time ago I developed a Gameboy Advance game with two friends. It was called "Back to Stone" and we wanted to see if it was possible to upscale the game to 1080p and how long it would take us to do so. After a few months of working in the evenings and on weekends, we managed to update the first two levels, a good number of enemy sprites, and even tweak the intro. Despite encouraging results, it would take too much time to update the entire game. Since we all have full-time jobs, we decided that this adventure would have to stop here for now.
However, I wanted to share this work so that something remains of it!

There's even a video available: https://youtu.be/qZCFGqB7Zz8

PS : I didn't use AI to upscale the bitmaps of these levels because the original resolution was too low (240x160). I completely redrew everything in Photoshop and used AI to generate elements or textures that helped me a lot.
But even so, the work is too time-consuming when you can only dedicate your weekends to it :)
